And as shown here, he is not so lonely that he doesn't find mischief. Here you can see him inside the "duck proof" fence we built around the fish pond.
We have about 24 duck eggs left that hadn't yet been used for baking (which is how we use the very rich duck eggs), and they're fertile. So we decided to incubate them and soon we'll hopefully have the offspring of our dear departed flock running around the property.
Below is a picture of a candled egg showing the growth after eight days. All systems go on the big Glendeven duck incubation.
